Go Figure....
The use of the word
"professional" came up again in
conversation recently. I started to
smile because I suddenly was
reminded of a time when I was living
in Hollywood and involved in the
film industry. Within one week, I'd
heard two different versions of what
was considered "professional".
At a cocktail party, I overheard one
actress saying to another regarding
a film shoot, "Oh, the director was
yelling and screaming at her... but
she just stayed calm and kept
working. She's soooo
professional..." Later in
the same week I heard a second
story, at a rehearsal. An emphatic
actress said, "She's soooo
professional. The director
yelled at her and she walked right
off the set..." Go figure...

networking gathering, a
meeting, a mixer by

lapel. That way, when
you reach your hand
forward to shake hands,
they're looking right at
