Dear Jean,

A warm hello to you - and Happy New Year! This month's tips deal with starting fresh, starting a new year.

I hope you enjoy these tips. Please note that at the bottom of this page, there is a "forward" to a friend option, if you'd like to share my tips with them. As always, best wishes to you!

What Color are You?

Well, actually, I was just trying to get your attention about this fun, really fun, Color Quiz you can take. It takes about 3 minutes to do and I found it gave me surprisingly right-on personality test results!

At the site, you select eight colors in the sequence you'd like. They ask you to wait 90 seconds. Then, they give you eight more colors to select in the sequence you'd like. They process results for a moment - and there you are!

You can read the results of your personality test, and, as I did, marvel that it's all done with colors - no words. I invite you to join the fun.

What's Important to You?

It's a new year and as we feel the 'fresh start' sense of it, we tend to make resolutions or ponder the past year or start new ventures. Along that line, I'd like to offer you a fun tool to clarify what you care about and perhaps where you'd like to focus your energy this year.

This fun tool is simple, offered by career coach Rachelle Disbennet-Lee, PhD, MCC, on her web site. She lists a number of values and you pick the 15 most important to you.

But wait, then you only keep 10 out of that group.

But wait, then you only keep 5 out of that group.

Yes, you're getting closer and closer to the one value that is the most important to you. They're all important, to be sure, but you work the process to identify your own personal hierarchy of values. I enjoyed this one. I hope you do. Happy 2005!

So, CELEBRATE - You're Great!

This is the coolest confetti thing! Order these great confetti holders and throw a party about what a great year 2005 is going to be for you - now that you know more about your personality. (grin) [And Valentine's Day is coming, too.]

Inside this small tube is a buhzillion pieces of confetti and you flick your wrist and (vacuum later) there's confetti flying everywhere. This is truly fun and a charming addition to a party. I was at an inspirational meeting recently where about 75 women flicked these all at the same moment. It was so "oooooooooo". Here's where to learn more...
