Follow the Labyrinth
Until recently, I've
always found that my mind won't get
quiet enough to meditate! It's been
disconcerting when friends talk
about how much they benefit from
just being alone with their own
mind, silently. Well, I found a new
way to do it - I found a "new"
meditation tool that's only 7000
years old! The labyrinth.
I read the most
lovely book describing how one
quietly walks a path to quiet the
mind. Somehow, the walking (like
taking a nature walk) works for me
and I stop my mind-buzz. The book I
recommend is The Magic of Labyrinths
by Liz Simpson - find it at
http://tinyurl.com/y8wsh2. Next,
I found an outdoor labyrinth nestled
in a gorgeous meadow (like the one
pictured) and enjoy walking it
silently, occasionally hearing a
hawk cry, overhead.
You can read Liz
Simpson's wonderful book and surf
the link below for a labyrinth near
where you live. Truly, there is a
lovely resurgence of interest in
this wonderful meditation tool and
you can easily find more information
about labyrinths on the internet.

Emotional Freedom
Technique (EFT)
|
|
Have
you talked to career
counselors or coaches or
family counselors or...
You have, right? The
operative word being
"talk", only. Well, this
stunningly simple tool
packs a wallop, when it
comes to coaching.
Roughly, AS you talk to
your coach, you also
lightly touch energy
meridian areas on your
face. Energy from your
mind AND body get
focused on your topic.
I have been learning
about this gentle
accupressure technique
used when discussing
your goals, career
blockages, life
stall-outs, or whatever.
My friends who told me
about this are so happy
to have discovered it.
Dare I say you realize 5
visits for the time
spent on one? That's
just my informal way of
trying to describe this
interesting technique's
effectiveness!
Accupressure/massage is
thousands of years old
and well-known for
"centering" the body's
energy. So, why NOT use
it to get your whole
self (mind AND body)
into your coaching
session?
Check it out - read
the testimonials! One
coach using this
technique is Lynne
Morrell at
www.lynnemorrell.com.

About Jean
|
|
As a Virtual
Assistant, I partner
with entrepreneurs
who'd like to spend more
time performing their
expertise, not
working on operational,
administrative, or
promotional tasks.
That's where I fit in.
If you or someone you
know would like to
delegate tasks that
cause "the most pain"
each month, or that are
neglected because of
that aversion - that's
where I fit in.
I invite you to
contact me with
questions, suggestions
for my newsletter, names
of overly busy people
who'd like to be
referred to me, or just
to say 'hi'. Please
email me - or click my
