Oh, Behave - per Mark Twain
Mark
Twain's Helpful Hints for Good
Living - A Handbook For the
Damned Human Race will
have you rolling on the floor.
This is a good thing.
I invite you to
enjoy "the sublime American
humorist" by linking to his
book, below. I bought it, that's
for sure.
Here's one quip
- "How to behave at a funeral -
do not bring your dog". Another
- "Smoking - it has always been
my rule never to smoke when
asleep".
Wallow in
laughter - go ahead!

Family History -
Preserve It!
|
|
Personal
Historians are
folks who
passionately believe
we should preserve
the treasure of
our family memories
- so much so that
they make a living
at it! Personal
Historians can help
you record for
family members
still-to-come the
brave, spunky,
shocking, happy,
challenging stories
that reside in your
head, or those of
your older family
members.
The key is to
get the stories out
of the head and onto
paper or audio or
video. Below is
a link to the
Association of
Personal Historians
web site where
you can read
inspiring quotes
(scrolling in the
upper right corner)
from the wise and
famous expressing
why recording family
history is so
important. Also,
there is a treasure
of quotes from
personal historians
expressing why they
do this work.
I can attest to
how moving it is to
read even the few
pages from my
family's history
that we have on
record. I learned
about my people
coming from Bavaria
and was so touched
by their words; I
found I have men in
my family tree with
the uncommon first
name of "Valentine".
I also spent long
hours with my father
collecting his
recollections about
parachuting from his
disabled plane
during World War II,
into occupied
France. I know how
rewarding it is.
Here's one quote
from the site:
"Storytelling is
fundamental to the
human search for
meaning".
I invite you to
collect your stories
- your family
will be glad you
did.

Identity Theft -
Avoid Catastrophe
|
|
Identity Theft is
the fastest growing
crime in the U.S.
While we all have
likely heard
stunning stories
about folks who have
suffered financially
and emotionally for
years, as they
attempt to undo the
damage to their
lives from identity
theft - have WE
TAKEN STEPS,
ourselves, to
protect against this
crime?
There are
comprehensive, yet
easy, steps you can
take to protect
yourself. Do it,
today - see the
list, below, and
implement the 14
Tips recommended.
I recently spoke to
a woman who told me
she always carries
her social
security card in her
purse (that's
number one!), along
with her driver's
license (there's
number two!), all
her credit cards and
- get ready -
she also has a note
listing every one
of her passwords
and codes in her
wallet (in case she
forgets them)!
So, there she is -
ready for disaster.
Item 1 and 2, alone,
give massive power
to a thief. So, I
urge you...
Please - take
good care of you!

That's where I fit

If you or someone
you know would like
to delegate tasks
that cause "the most

that are neglected
because of that
aversion - that's
where I fit in.
