Go to College - In Your Car

So many of us are spending hours in our cars, commuting. Here's a fresh idea for using those hours well - college courses! We currently fill the time listening to music, talk show radio and audio books. But this is a delightful option - college education ; being a life-long student.

Sites such as The Teaching Company and The Modern Scholar offer rich hours of recorded classes taught by top university professors from Harvard, Stanford...the list goes on. These are the top scholars in their field, offering their decades of knowledge on CD's and audiotapes. (DVD's and videotapes also available).

Are you interested in the ancient Vikings, perhaps? Biology and Human Behavior? The Ethics of Aristotle? Great Masters: Beethoven? Contemporary Economic Issues? These are examples of the types of courses you can access.

Besides your personal growth, consider these options:

- you can loan these tapes to your friends and then discuss the course, later. Over dinner? Take a long walk together?
- you could take a long driving trip on purpose to listen to the whole course. (I date myself by hearing the ditty, "See the USA...")
- tell your clients (complaining about commute hours) about these sites - and become a hero!

I invite you to visit these sites, even if only to browse, for now. May you enjoy the bounty they offer.

Annual Taxes? Annual CREDIT REPORT, also.

Did you know - "You are entitled to receive one free credit file disclosure every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies – Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. This free credit file can be requested online, by phone or by mail."

Getting an annual credit report is very important to guard against identify theft, one of the fastest growing crimes - a devastating crime taking years and tears to correct. An annual check-in to find what the credit agencies are reporting to 3rd parties requesting your information is strong protection. Are their errors in your information?

I urge you to gather information about getting your free annual report from this website, AnnualCreditReport.com. From their site, you can connect to further information about the Fair Credit Reporting Act, identify theft, government sites and more.

To also learn more about HOW identify theft can occur (8 ways), click on the link Advanta offers.

40 Photos On Your Desk

On my overflowing desk, 40 photos? Yes - and easily done. I invite you to look at the solo picture frame that holds 40 photos; you easily slide a new photo into place, whenever you'd like.

A new photo whenever I'd like? It's a refreshing and fun way to bring a moment of warmth to your day. Switch from the photo of your puppy to the photo of you... skiing? laughing? hugging your sister?

The Magic Frame - click on their site's animated link that shows how easy it is to select the new photo. May you enjoy!

About Jean

As a Virtual Assistant, I partner with entrepreneurs who'd like to spend more time performing their expertise, not working on operational, administrative, or promotional tasks. That's where I fit in.

If you or someone you know would like to delegate tasks that cause "the most pain" each month, or that are neglected because of that aversion - that's where I fit in.

I invite you to contact me with questions, suggestions for my newsletter, names of overly busy people who'd like to be referred to me, or just to say 'hi'. Please email me - or click my web site link. Be Well!
